‘Hairspray’ to star ‘teen’ Tony winner

Marissa Jaret Winokur will repeat her Tony-winning performance as the Baltimore teenager Tracy Turnblad in the Los Angeles run of the Broadway musical “Hairspray” at the Pantages Theatre, opening in July.
L.A. is currently the only stop on the show’s tour for Winokur. The tour also features Bruce Vilanch in the role of her mother.
