Police Seek Man in Armed Assault of Girl
Oxnard police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted an 11-year-old girl at gunpoint at a local apartment complex.
The victim and her family were at a party at the complex in the 4200 block of South Harbor Boulevard on Saturday evening.
When the girl went to the bathroom in the recreation center, a man grabbed her from behind, held a gun to her head and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The crime was not reported until Tuesday.
Police described the alleged assailant as white, about 6 feet tall and 35 years old, with a heavy build, goatee and mustache.
