Man Pleads No Contest in ‘N Sync Fan’s Death
A Sylmar man accused of running over and killing an ‘N Sync fan outside a Burbank radio station pleaded no contest Monday to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, prosecutors said.
Cameron Albert Duty, 24, is expected to be sentenced to 18 years on Nov. 3. He changed his plea in a Pasadena courtroom the day his case was set to go to trial, Deputy Dist. Atty. Shelly Torrealba said.
On Sept. 9, 2002, Duty backed his pickup truck over Anna White, 21, who was waiting outside the studios of KIIS-FM (102.7) to see ‘N Sync singer Justin Timberlake, authorities said. White died a short time later at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
