U.S. Soldier Accused of Leaving Crash Scene

An American soldier has been charged with leaving the scene of a car accident that killed a South Korean woman, the U.S. military said in Seoul. He was identified as Sgt. Jerry Olken of the 1-43 Air Defense Artillery Battalion. The woman was identified as Kee Kyeong Sun.
Last year, South Koreans held protests after two American soldiers were acquitted in the deaths of two girls struck by the men’s armored vehicle.
