Canucks Win in Overtime

Defenseman Mattias Ohlund scored with 1:58 left in overtime to give the Canucks a 5-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night at Vancouver, Canada.
Ohlund pounced on a loose puck in the high slot and fired a wrist shot between Jose Theodore’s legs, ending a wild game.
San Jose 2, New York Rangers 2 -- Marco Sturm scored a power-play goal with 9:01 left in regulation at San Jose to give the Sharks their league-leading eighth tie. At 3-6-8-2 overall, the Sharks also have the fewest victories in the NHL. They had just nine ties last season.
Calgary 3, Toronto 2 -- Toni Lydman scored 1:24 into overtime at Calgary, Canada, to extend the Maple Leafs’ winless streak to four games.
Philadelphia 2, Carolina 2 -- Jeff O’Neill and Nic Wallin scored for the Hurricanes in the final 10 minutes of regulation at Raleigh, N.C., ending the Flyers’ six-game winning streak.
Edmonton 5, Chicago 2 -- Radek Dvorak had two goals and an assist, and Ty Conklin made 33 saves for the Oilers at Edmonton, Canada.

Columbus put defenseman Duvie Westcott on injured reserve because of an injured ankle.... San Jose recalled forward Todd Harvey, who was sent to the minors after a poor training camp.
