Creditors Pan Enron’s Reorganization Plan

Support for Enron Corp.’s bankruptcy reorganization plan is dwindling among creditors of its Enron North America Corp. unit four months after the Houston energy firm announced a crucial compromise with the group.
The court-appointed examiner for Enron North America, Harrison J. Goldin, has asked for a delay of the disclosure-statement hearing scheduled for Nov. 18 in federal Bankruptcy Court in New York.
He said he wanted Enron to supply him with added information so that he could evaluate the plan’s effect on Enron North America creditors and whether a separate reorganization plan for the company’s once-envied trading unit was warranted.
