FBI Agent Shoots at Man After Vehicle Is Rammed
From Staff and Wire Reports
An undercover drug purchase by FBI agents outside a Carl’s Jr. restaurant went bad Thursday night when the suspect rammed a surveillance car and an agent fired at him twice, an FBI spokeswoman said.
The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. at Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, said FBI spokeswoman Cheryl Mimura. Agents had planned to stage a drug buy in the parking lot, but the suspect panicked.
The suspect drove about five blocks before he abandoned his car at Detroit Street and Hawthorne Avenue, Mimura said. It was unknown if he was injured.
