Three-Person Carpools Free on 91 Toll Lanes

Carpools of three or more can now travel westbound on the 91 Express Lanes for free at all times, the Orange County Transportation Authority has announced.
Drivers of zero-emission vehicles, motorcycles and vehicles with disabled-driver license plates will also be able to travel the toll road without paying.
The eastbound lanes will also be free to carpools, except from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
During these hours, carpoolers will receive a 50% discount on the toll.
Vehicles still need a FasTrak transponder to use the lanes, even though they qualify to use them for free.
