Viacom Music Channel to Debut in China

Viacom Inc. reached an agreement to distribute a 24-hour Mandarin-language music channel to 1 million homes in southern China, Chief Executive Sumner Redstone said.
The new network, to start in April, will be the region’s only round-the-clock music channel, the New York-based company said. Viacom already has a 24-hour MTV network that broadcasts to hotels and foreign residences in China.
