From Times Wire Reports
One man was fatally shot and two others were wounded in an Irish Republican Army stronghold on Northern Ireland’s border, police said.
The body of Keith Rogers, 24, was found at daybreak near a gas station in the village of Cullaville in South Armagh, police said. The border region is nicknamed “bandit country” because of its IRA sympathies. Two of Rogers’ associates later turned up in different hospitals, one with gunshot wounds to the legs -- an IRA form of punishment -- and the other with unspecified head wounds.
