MTA to Color-Code Its Buses and Trains
From Staff and Wire Reports
The look of Metropolitan Transportation Authority buses and trains will undergo a change after a decision by county transit officials to switch to a tricolor scheme.
The MTA’s board voted to change the colors of buses that make only local stops to orange and those that run on freeways to blue. Express buses will keep their current red color scheme. The MTA’s trains will be silver.
The MTA’s 2,400 buses are currently white with an orange stripe.
