City Council to Study Affordable Housing

In a community where home prices easily top $500,000 and rents start at $1,400 a month, the Thousand Oaks City Council has scheduled a study session today on the issue of affordable housing.
A regional housing assessment suggests more than 2,450 dwellings are needed in Thousand Oaks for those with moderate, low and very low incomes.
The session will be held during the regular council meeting that begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
