HIGHLIGHTS

* Riverside Arlington’s Zech Zinizola threw a five-hitter in a 4-1 Southern Section Division I quarterfinal victory over Mission Viejo on Friday, striking out seven, walking two and stranding nine baserunners.

* Santa Margarita’s David Huffman hit a three-run homer against Capistrano Valley ace Jason Corder, highlighting a six-run fourth inning that led to an 11-5 Division I quarterfinal victory Friday.

HEROICS

* Jared Clark of Valencia threw a no-hitter, doubled, homered and drove in seven runs in a 17-0 Division II quarterfinal victory over Corona Centennial on Friday.

* Westminster’s Fidel Gonzalez drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning with a single, one of his four hits that included a three-run home run, in an 8-7 Division III quarterfinal victory over West Hills Chaminade on Friday.

* Kyle Cruikshank of Villa Park had three hits, including a go-ahead double in the sixth, and threw out the potential tying run at home in a 4-3 Division II second-round victory over West Torrance on Tuesday.

ON DECK

* Blair Field in Long Beach will be the site of the Division I semifinals Tuesday -- the winners play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Edison Field -- as well as the Division V and VI finals Thursday.

* Anaheim Canyon won two of three from Villa Park in the Century League this season but that will mean little when the rivals meet Tuesday in a Division II semifinal at Villa Park. The winner will play Thousand Oaks or Valencia at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Edison Field.
