Pesticide Spilled in Collision With Firetruck

A pesticide truck collided with a Ventura County firetruck on its way to a vehicle blaze in Moorpark on Wednesday, triggering a small chemical spill.
Authorities said 30 to 40 gallons of the pesticide Dursban leaked at Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain Meadow Drive. Children were kept inside nearby Mountain Meadows Elementary School after the 9:15 a.m. accident. The driver of the pesticide truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, a Fire Department spokeswoman said.
