Ex-Pony League Officer Accused of Embezzling

The former president of Cypress Pony League Baseball has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling $11,000 from the organization since 1998.
Elin Sue Alvillar, 42, was booked Wednesday at Cypress City Jail.
The alleged embezzlement came to light after a new president discovered bookkeeping discrepancies, including forged checks to Alvillar, authorities said.
