Pilot Killed in Crash Identified

The San Bernardino County coroner’s office Saturday identified the pilot killed when his small plane crashed into a Rancho Cucamonga house as Robert Y. Cable, 47, of Upland.
Cable was flying a Beechcraft 95 when it crashed Friday afternoon. Witnesses reported seeing smoke coming from one of the engines shortly before the crash, which destroyed the garage and part of the upstairs. A teenager watching TV in the house was unhurt. Cable died at the scene.
