That Disney touch

Your article on Anne Hamburger was an insult to the longtime and amazing Disneyland in-house talent (“Granting Disney’s wish,” Jan. 5). Anne Hamburger is bringing Broadway to Disneyland? I think not. They brought Disneyland and Broadway together years ago. Remember “Beauty and the Beast”?
The truth is Disneyland entertainment has suffered overall since Paul Pressler hired Ms. Hamburger “on the spot.” Why? Because she was given the bulk of the entire entertainment budget for “Aladdin,” leaving the other shows and parades high and dry for production dollars.
I love the theater. I take my kids to the theater. Heck, I even work in theater and would like to tell them this: I fell in love with it at 7 years old when I -- guess what -- saw the awe-inspiring and beautiful shows and parades at Disneyland. Was Anne Hamburger there then?
