Update -- The Bruins fell to 2-4 at home by losing to USC on Wednesday, and players acknowledged a lack of toughness. They had better develop some grit fast because St. John’s is typical of Big East Conference teams, a rough-and-tumble group that rebounds well despite being undersized. The tallest Red Storm starter is 6-foot-7 Kyle Cuffe. UCLA beat another Big East team, Georgetown, at Pauley Pavilion last season, but the physical post players who made a difference -- Dan Gadzuric and Matt Barnes -- are gone.
