Wednesday, vs. Edmonton, 7:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net 2 -- Duck Coach Mike Babcock’s cliche is on target: This is the most important game of the season for the Ducks. Edmonton holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Ducks began the week in ninth place.

Thursday, at Colorado, 6 p.m., ESPN2 -- Tony Granato Era is off to a good start: The Avalanche is 6-2-0-1 since he took over. Former Colorado coach Bob Hartley has been contacted by bottom-feeding Atlanta.

Sunday, vs. St. Louis, 5 p.m., Channel 9, ESPN2 -- Think the Blues might be a little focused on this one? They have not lost a season series to Ducks since 1995-96. Ducks have won the first two meetings this season.
