Winds of Change Still Blowing in Westwood

While USC is surviving visits by O.J. and romping through Florida, there are more important matters to ponder: the future of UCLA basketball. It doesn’t include, of course, Steve Lavin. His departure is a foregone conclusion.

Who will replace him? Well, he probably can’t leave Georgia immediately, but if we have to wait until next season, how about Jim Harrick? He was fired for petty personal reasons by the worst athletic director in the history of the school -- yes, that’s your legacy, Mr. Dalis -- so wouldn’t it be sweet justice to bring him back?

Dan Guerrero, give it some thought.
