Woman Kills Abusive Husband, Police Say

A 21-year-old woman shot and killed her husband after he severely beat her Friday, police said. Monique Arroyo, 21, was being questioned late Friday. Police said they expected to book her on suspicion of killing Angel Arroyo. Neighbors on Winter Street said his body was found on the sidewalk.
The shooting occurred just after 4 a.m., police said. Monique Arroyo told investigators that her husband frequently abused her, police spokesman Jack Richter said.
