Murdered Missionaries
Even though the gunning down of three American hospital missionaries in Yemen, including a physician and a hospital administrator, by an Islamic militant was a cowardly and savage act, these people knew the risks they were taking (Dec. 31). They were in a very vulnerable and unsafe country where negative sentiments against Americans run very high. Even though what they were doing was very commendable, it simply was not worth the risk. A dead humanitarian does people little good.
