11 Wounded in Israeli Missile Attack on Car

An Israeli helicopter fired two missiles at a car carrying Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, wounding at least 11 people. Israel’s military said the targets were “senior Hamas terrorists ... actively engaged in planning terror attacks.â€
Hamas officials said one of the people in the car was Jamal Jara, a mid-level commander. It was not clear if he was among the wounded. A Hamas leader threatened retaliation.
A crowd of hundreds of angry Palestinians gathered around the heavily damaged vehicle.
