Man Kills Co-Worker, Self at Halfway House

A man killed a co-worker at a prison halfway house and drug and alcohol clinic in North Philadelphia, then fatally shot himself, police said.
“It appears to be a murder-suicide,†said Officer Richard Devlin, a police department spokesman.
Police said Vivian Figueroa, 34, was shot once in the head by Shawn Gilmore, also 34. Both worked for Liberty Management, which runs a halfway house in the building under contract with the state Corrections Department.
Authorities gave no motive for the shootings.
