Man Pleads Guilty in Beating With Bat
One of three South Los Angeles men accused of robbing and beating a voice-over artist with a baseball bat last year in West Hollywood pleaded guilty Wednesday to mayhem and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Larry Walker, 30, will be sentenced to 13 years in prison for his role in the Sept. 1 attack on Trev Broudy, prosecutors said. They said Walker, who has a prior robbery conviction, patted down the victim looking for money but did not beat him.
Jury selection will continue today in the trial of Walker’s co-defendants: Torwin Sessions, 20, and Vincent Dotson, 19.
