Boeing Improving Conduct, Air Force Says

Boeing Co. is making progress in improving the conduct at its satellite-launch business, which was suspended in July from bidding for military work, Air Force Undersecretary Peter Teets said.
The Air Force said last month that Boeing committed “serious violations of federal law” in obtaining documents from competitor Lockheed Martin Corp. to win a $1.5-billion rocket contract in 1998.
The suspension remains until the Air Force determines that Boeing has resolved management and ethics problems that resulted in the collection of Lockheed documents.
Boeing’s shares fell 38 cents to $35.30 on the New York Stock Exchange.
