Bicyclist, 44, Shot to Death in Oxnard
An Oxnard man riding his bicycle was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon by an unknown assailant, Oxnard police said.
The 44-year-old man, who was not immediately identified, was riding on the 800 block of Commercial Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. when he was shot, police said.
Witnesses reported that the victim jumped off his bike and ran to a nearby business, where he collapsed. Workers there provided assistance until police and emergency medical personnel arrived.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
