Infinity Exec Quits After Less Than a Year
John Fullam, president and chief operating officer of Viacom Inc.’s Infinity Broadcasting unit, quit last week after less than a year at the second-largest U.S. radio broadcaster.
Fullam, who joined Infinity in August, resigned from the company Friday, Infinity CEO John Sykes said in a memo to employees. Sykes said he would assume Fullam’s duties until a replacement is named.
The departure came three days after Viacom, also owner of the CBS TV network, said radio was the only one of its six main businesses to post lower first-quarter sales. Radio revenue fell 2% to $444 million.
A spokesman declined further comment on Fullam’s departure. Fullam couldn’t be reached for comment.
