From Times Wire Reports
Time magazine art critic Robert Hughes pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm in a 1999 car crash in Australia that nearly killed him and two others.
Hughes, 64, was fined $1,500 but wasn’t required to attend the hearing at a Western Australia state court because of poor health. He was in a coma for five weeks after the crash on a dark outback road. The court was told Hughes had been driving on the wrong side of the road.
