Enforcement of U.N. Resolutions in Mideast
Re “A Firm ‘Road Map,’ ” Opinion, April 6: The “road map” for peace between Israel and the Palestinians envisioned by M.J. Rosenberg was all about whether the Israelis will approve of it. It shouldn’t matter what they like. If we can justify enforcing a 3-month-old United Nations resolution against Iraq we can surely enforce a 30-year-old U.N. resolution against Israel. We should enter the West Bank and Gaza and drive all the Israelis out and back within Israel’s 1967 borders.
If we don’t, this cancer will continue to precipitate more “twin towers,” with more wars like Afghanistan and Iraq. Enough is enough.

The Michael Ramirez editorial cartoon (Commentary, April 6) implies that the Arab world would not want “Death to America” if we abandoned Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. He probably feels that the Arab world would like us if we expelled our Jews, and it follows that the Arab world would love us if all Americans converted to Islam.
