Keith Renno, an outfielder from Chatsworth, has committed to Cal State Northridge.
Steve Smith, a receiver and safety from Woodland Hills Taft, said he plans visits to Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame and Tennessee, although USC and UCLA remain possible choices.
Defensive tackle Matthew Malele of Carson has scheduled a trip to Tennessee in November. He visited Stanford before the season.
Minnie Choi, a golfer at Fountain Valley, has committed to UC Irvine.
Arianna Criscione, a national team age-group soccer goalkeeper who attends Glendora St. Lucy’s High but does not play for the Regents, has committed to UCLA.
The recruiting focus is on seniors right now, but that’s not stopping college coaches from taking a peek at some top juniors.
Utah basketball Coach Rick Majerus is coming to town next week and has scheduled a visit to Taft to take a look at junior guard Jordan Farmar.
