Carnival Corp.’s third-quarter profit rose 1.2% as the cruise-line operator cut costs and benefited from a $34-million tax credit.
Net income was $500.8 million, or 85 cents a share, the firm said. Revenue fell 3.5% to $1.44 billion, but the average price Carnival charged for trips had its smallest decline since last year’s terrorist attacks.
