Heat Exhaustion Hits 6 Runners
Six athletes were treated for heat exhaustion Saturday during a cross-country meet at Laguna Hills High School.
Two runners in the Laguna Hills Invitational were treated by paramedics, said an Orange County Fire Authority spokesman. Four other runners were taken to a hospital, including a 17-year-old girl in serious condition, the spokesman said.
