Habitat for Humanity Seeks Volunteers
Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County will hold its next volunteer orientation at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the organization’s Oxnard business office, 167 Lambert St.
A second meeting for those willing to lend a hand is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at a subdivision that Habitat for Humanity is building in Piru. That orientation will be held in a warehouse at the site, on the corner of Sacramento and Main streets.
The nonprofit group, with a current roster of about 350 volunteers, has built 24 homes in Piru, Camarillo, Fillmore, Oak View and Thousand Oaks and has repaired more than 500 dwellings throughout Ventura County.
