Adelphia Appoints 2 Executives to Board

Adelphia Communications Corp. appointed Leonard Tow and Scott Schneider to its board of directors.
Tow is chief executive of Citizens Communications Co. and Schneider is its vice chairman. The appointments come after the cable television company said last week that the founding Rigas family will relinquish control and turn over $1 billion in assets.
Shares of Adelphia fell 77 cents to close at $2 on Nasdaq.
