Finance Minister to Face Questioning

KUWAIT
Kuwait headed deeper into political crisis when parliament members made a formal request to question Finance Minister Youssef Ibrahim over allegations of mishandling public funds.
Muslim Barak from the Popular Bloc and Mubarak Duwailah from the Islamic Bloc said they presented parliament Speaker Jassem Karafi with a 47-page request to grill the minister.
The request covers points dealing with alleged distribution of public funds during elections to benefit certain groups, squandering of state-owned properties and loss of investment funds.
