Three men were killed Thursday when their boat crashed into the shore of the Colorado River, authorities said.
Kevin Russell, 39, of Palmdale, Chris Kline, 33, of Castaic and Howard Sanders, 39, whose hometown was unavailable, were killed about 1:20 a.m. when Russell’s boat slammed into the shore near Bass Point, according to police.
The boat was traveling at a high speed at the time of the accident, officials said.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but officials said preliminary evidence indicates alcohol may have been a factor.
