Fans Are With the Force

I sent a copy of Kenneth Turan’s review of the latest “Star Wars” film (“When We Last Saw Our Heroes ... “ May 13) to my thirtysomething daughter in Colorado. Her response makes all such reviews seem moot:

“There are mixed reviews everywhere.... Non-fans will never understand. ‘Star Wars’ movies don’t have to be Oscar-winners. They just have to take us to the place we all know and love--a galaxy far, far away we will never visit, but wish we had. Just entering the movie theater takes me there.”

Lucas wins. Again.
