About 850 people were evacuated from a Los Angeles International Airport terminal Wednesday after a woman gained access to a secured area, authorities said.
An alarm went off shortly before 5:30 p.m. after the woman walked through a restricted door and out to where planes are located, said airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles.
The woman later reentered Terminal One through a passageway connecting the terminal to an aircraft, Castles said.
Los Angeles and LAX police were unable to find the woman, the spokeswoman said.
At about 7:05 p.m., passengers were allowed to enter the terminal, she said. Eleven flights were delayed.
