Funeral Service Set for Richards

Tom Richards, who coached high school football for more than 30 years at Granada Hills, Sylmar and Birmingham, died Monday morning of a staff infection. He was 66. Richards, who retired from coaching in the early 1990s, became an actor. He is survived by his wife and three daughters. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks.
