The FBI said it is investigating as a possible hate crime the death of a homeless black man who was chained to a fence and set on fire.
Oklahoma City Police discovered the burning body of Alonzo Bailey, 33, in an industrial park Sunday. He had been chained to a fence, bound at the wrists, ankles, waist and neck, then covered with wooden pallets that were set on fire.
The FBI decided to launch its investigation after news reports that a suspect arrested in the case, Anthony Lee Tedford, 43, bore tattoos suggesting a connection with the Ku Klux Klan.
