Serb Pleads Not Guilty to Camp Atrocities

A Bosnian Serb prison guard who surrendered to the Yugoslav tribunal pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and torture at the Omarska prison camp.
Momcilo Gruban turned himself in to the U.N. court in The Hague on May 2 to face allegations of war crimes for atrocities committed during the 1992-95 Bosnia war.
Gruban pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of war crimes at Omarska, a former mining complex. He could be sentenced to life imprisonment if convicted of any single charge.
