Motorist Killed in Crash Is Identified

A man killed in a car crash Sunday afternoon in Thousand Oaks was identified as Brian Ruiz, 27, of Thousand Oaks.
Authorities said Ruiz ran a stop sign at Janss Road and El Monte Drive about 4:40 p.m. and was struck by a car in the intersection.
Ruiz, who was ejected from his vehicle, was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He died of multiple blunt-force injuries, said James Baroni, a senior deputy medical examiner.
