Right Start to Change Name to FAO
Calabasas-based Right Start Inc. will change its name to FAO Inc. and move to King of Prussia, Pa., the company’s shareholders decided at a special meeting. Right Start acquired venerable New York toy merchant FAO Schwarz in November. Pennsylvania is the home of Zany Brainy, a 187-store chain Right Start bought out of bankruptcy last summer for about $100 million.
Right Start, which sells educational and developmental toys at its 65 stores, didn’t say how many employees it has in Calabasas, or how they would be affected by the move.
