Softball Player Wood to Have Number Retired

Melanie Wood, a softball pitcher who graduated from Verdugo Hills High in 1996, will have her number retired by the school on April 2 in ceremonies before the Dons’ first home game of the season.
Wood went on to become a two-time All-American at Cal State Bakersfield.
