Bloom Is Appointed Interim Clerk-Recorder
County supervisors Tuesday appointed Clerk of the Board Darlene J. Bloom as interim clerk-recorder, replacing the late Gary Granville.
Voters will decide in November who will fill the job permanently. The election will be a runoff between Anaheim Mayor Tom Daly and Irvine attorney Bruce Peotter. None of the five candidates received more than 50% of the vote in the March 5 election.
Granville died Feb. 28 after a heart attack.
Bloom’s appointment is through Jan. 5.
