5 Men Sent to Prison on Gay Sex Charges
From Times Wire Reports
Five Egyptian men were sentenced to three years in prison with hard labor for engaging in gay sex, judicial officials said.
The men had pleaded guilty to debauchery and running a house for gay sex parties. The Nile Delta Misdemeanor Court handed down their sentences, which also include three years of probation.
Although not explicitly referred to in the Egyptian penal code, homosexuals risk having a wide range of laws covering obscenity, prostitution and debauchery applied against them.
