* Jack A. Skeels has been appointed chief operating officer of Patent & License Exchange Inc., a Pasadena-based provider of intellectual property valuation software. He is a former manager of Rand Corp.’s technology transfer program.
* Ann Cohn has been named associate general counsel of Edison Mission Energy, a subsidiary of Rosemead-based Edison International. She also was named vice president, legal, of EME’s Americas region. Cohn previously was associated general counsel at Southern California Edison, another Edison unit.
* Entertainment industry veterans Don Ashley and Gary Preisler have formed Delfino Entertainment, a “mini-studio†that will develop and produce original comedy and family-oriented films.
* Deborah Dugan has been promoted to the newly created position of president, Disney Publishing Worldwide. She was executive vice president and managing director for the company, which is a division of Burbank-based Walt Disney Co.
* Florante Sabado has been named vice president, national field operations for MGM Distribution Co., a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. He will oversee the development and implementation of field publicity and promotions for MGM and United Artists films. Sabado is a former executive director of publicity at Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Cos.
* Tom Gorman has been named senior vice president/general manager of Gold Circle Music Label Group of Los Angeles. Gorman was president of Future Forward Marketing.
* Adam Friedman has been promoted to executive vice president, House of Blues Concerts Inc., and will oversee the development of new business for the Los Angeles-based company.
* Greg Kuhn and Tommy O’Brien have been named staff composers at Stompbox Music and Sound Design of Santa Monica.
* Barry Smith has been named director of new business development/executive producer of MOcean, a Venice-based company specializing in the design and production of motion graphics for the entertainment industry. Smith is a former Novocom executive.
* Margaret Ng has been named director of Rapid Dragon Express, a Los Angeles-based subsidiary of freight forwarder Consolidators International Inc. that primarily serves the China market. Ng is a former Emery Worldwide executive.
* Dan DeAmbrosio has been promoted to West Coast regional vice president of Bunzl Distribution Inc. He will be based in Los Angeles. Bunzl is a St. Louis, Mo.-based supplier of disposable paper and plastic packaging.
* Los Angeles-based Clay Hammerstein has been promoted to executive managing director of Insignia/ESG commercial real estate brokerage.
* Dwight Wolfe has joined real estate brokerage Colliers Seeley International as marketing executive in its downtown Los Angeles office. Wolfe is a former co-owner of Stars & Stripes Telecom Inc., which he founded.
* Julien J. Studley Inc. real estate services firm has named Stacy A. Wilder director of project management services for the Los Angeles region, and Dennis Potts as director for the Orange County and San Diego regions.
* Paulette Toumazos has been named vice president of Tiarna Real Estate Services Inc. of Encino. The company also named Angie Weber vice president of its San Fernando office. Both were vice presidents at Daum Real Estate Services.
* Erwin Bremermann and William E. Macfarlane Jr. have joined chief information officer partnership Tatum CIO Partners in the Los Angeles region.
* K.A. Aguilar has joined Los Angeles-based Team-One Employment Specialists as a business development manager.
* Bradley Lipman has been named assistant vice president in charge of Bank Leumi’s new private banking unit at its Encino branch, which specializes in corporate lending to middle-market firms.
