Freshman reserve Shrya Ely had 31 points, the best of her career, plus 11 rebounds, as No. 3-ranked Tennessee overcame 38% shooting to beat No. 24 Georgia, 81-67, Friday in a Southeastern Conference tournament quarterfinal at Nashville. Georgia (19-10) made 23 turnovers.

No. 4 Duke 82, Florida State 66--Alana Beard had 23 points and Iciss Tillis had 21 as the Blue Devils (25-3) struggled before putting away the ninth-seeded Seminoles (13-5) in an Atlantic Coast Conference tournament quarterfinal at Greensboro, N.C.

No. 6 Vanderbilt 55, Auburn 39--Chantelle Anderson scored 16 points as the Commodores (25-6) won their SEC tournament quarterfinal at Nashville.

No. 7 Purdue 74, Michigan 67--Shereka Wright scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Boilermakers’ overtime victory in a Big Ten tournament quarterfinal at Indianapolis. Wright’s three-point play 30 seconds into overtime gave top-seeded Purdue (23-4) a 64-63 lead.

Arkansas 79, No. 12 South Carolina 61--India Lewis scored 23 pointsas the seventh-seeded Razorbacks (19-10) pulled an upset of second-seeded South Carolina (22-6) in an SEC tournament quarterfinal at Nashville.

No. 16 Old Dominion 70, William & Mary 36--Lucienne Berthieu had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Monarchs (22-5, 18-0 in the Colonial Athletic Assn.) in a final regular-season victory at Norfolk, Va.

Wisconsin 74, No. 17 Minnesota 64--Tamara Moore scored 29 points as the Badgers (19-10) defeated the third-seeded Gophers (21-7) in a Big Ten tournament quarterfinal at Indianapolis.

Chapman (22-4) will play host to Carleton (Minn.) tonight in a second-round game of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
