Closet Factory to Stop Running ‘Sale’ Ads

A Los Angeles firm agreed to pay $40,000 and to stop running advertisements giving the false impression that its “sale” prices were about to expire, Orange County prosecutors said Monday.
Closet Factory Inc. did not admit any wrongdoing. The company was accused in a civil complaint of false advertising and making false and misleading statements in continuous ads claiming a sale was in progress and would be over at the end of the month. The ads appeared in two Orange County newspapers.
